We are based in the picturesque village of Ellastone, near Ashbourne and just south of the Peak District National Park. Our lovely, friendly chickens have free range over our 5 acres in the Dove Valley.
Buff orpingtons
Orpingtons have a very placid, friendly and docile nature, one that is tolerant of being handled. They are one of the best birds for the first time keeper and for those with children – an ideal ‘pet’ chicken and they make good mothers. They are dual purpose breed, being kept for meat and eggs, laying around 200 eggs a year. They are a priority breed on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust watchlist.
Hatching Eggs
We offer hatching eggs year-round. They can be collected at Buck Farm or posted.
Chicks
We normally have day old to week old chicks available from February to October.

Pullets and cockerels of varying ages are sometimes available.

We stock friendly, sociable point of lay hybrid pullets, all come fully vaccinated and are terrific egg layers.
